snow canyon bushLocated only minutes north of Ivins, Snow Canyon State Park is a 7,400-acre grouping of red and white sandstone formations as well as black lava beds. The park is named for early pioneer leaders Lorenzo and Erastus Snow. It receives little, if any, snow each year. The park offers many short hiking trails ideal for the entire family. The trails pass through sand dunes and sagebrush and near arches, lava caves and pioneer names carved in stone. In addition to hiking, Snow Canyon visitors also enjoy mountain biking, rock climbing, and photographing the park’s stunning scenery and wildlife, which include coyotes, roadrunners, lizards, kit foxes, and gopher snakes
